How can I get involved with the Friends?
We would love to have you join us! Working with the Friends is a great way to meet people, and make new friends, get involved with the community and be around books. If you are seeking a fun and rewarding experience you can volunteer your time to help with an event, provide technology or public relations support, or become a member of the Friends board.
For more information about joining the Friends please contact us at friendsofthemashpeelibrary@gmail.com
With the generous donations from our community, the Friends have created an endowment fund to support many Library’s services, collections and programs.
Our contributions have provided:
• Buildings and grounds beautification
• Summer enrichment programs for all ages
• Special Events including author events and the annual Selander Mini Golf Open
• Purchase of equipment, ebooks and devices, items for the “Library of Things” and more

The library has a rich history dating back more than 120 years, but the strength of the library is its ability to remain meaningful and contemporary in an ever-changing world. A gift to the Friends will provide the support necessary for the library to continue to meet the challenges and needs of the next century.
Your gift is tax-deductible. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Checks are also accepted. Please make checks payable to:
